PERSONAL INJURY CHECKLIST

If you are involved in an automobile or other personal injury accident, please refer to this list:

  1. If needed, call the police
  2. If anyone is injured, call immediately for an ambulance
  3. Cooperate fully with the investigating officer.
  4. DO NOT DISCUSS the accident with anyone other than the investigating officer, your doctor, your insurance agent and your legal representative.
  5. Make sure to take notes of any statements made and the name, address and phone number of any witnesses.
  6. Get the name, address and insurance information from all parties involved.
  7. Do not apologize or admit you were wrong to anyone, even if you believe you are at fault.
  8. If you suspect that the person responsible for the accident may be drunk on alcohol or drugs, tell the police immediately.
  9. If you have a camera, take pictures of the accident scene.
  10. At the first sign of pain contact your doctor or go to the nearest hospital emergency room.
  11. After you leave, call our office. All of our consultations are without charge.
